Beer Cocktail Recipe: Pumpkin Apple Pie

Fall is here and you need an interesting cocktail to impress your guests. Maybe even a… beer cocktail? Now THAT sounds interesting. And since it is very much cool weather, changing colors and pumpkin spice everything, I ventured to create a fall themed cocktail: The Pumpkin Apple Pie.

This was my first venture into beer cocktails and while I drew some inspiration from others, I decided to create this one on my own. It took many failed attempts - which made things a little more fun, tbh - and an extra trip or two to the grocery store, but I finally landed on a pumpkin apple drink with just a touch of vanilla for that autumn pie flavor.

Pairs well with s’mores around the campfire.

Pumpkin Apple Pie Beer Cocktail
This simple cocktail recipe really just tastes like fall. Pairs well with s'mores around the campfire.
Ingredients
  • 8 oz. Hard Apple Cider (I used Lionhearted Cider)
  • 4 oz. Pumpkin Ale (New Holland Brewing's Ichabod Pumpkin Ale)
  • 1 shot Vanilla Vodka (I used Absolute)
Instructions
1. Pour hard apple cider into your pint glass.
2. Slowly add in the pumpkin ale.
3. Drop in the vanilla vodka.
4. SLOWLY mix together the ingredients - too fast and the beer might foam over.
5. Garnish with apple slices.
